It’s Kings Day of course, so a national holiday for most of us. But we thought you’d like to know that it’s on a Friday this year.

On 5 May, the Netherlands celebrates freedom. Like many other cities, Amsterdam also holds a Liberation Festival every year. There’s live music acts, food stalls and lots of other activities. FREE
The host of Comedy Central’s The Daily Show also does stand up. Expect less political jokes and more personal stories.
There’s been so much interest in this festival already that they had to find a larger venue for this inaugural event. There’s a modest entry fee but children up to 12 years old, accompanied by an adult, come in for free. Register at veggiefestival.nl because they expect a sell out.
