Marketing manager needed!
Written by cathycentral on 14/01/2019
Broadcast Amsterdam needs a marketing injection to help people discover our new English language 24/7 radio station for Amsterdam. So we’re looking for an experienced marketing professional to focus on audience development, on a flexible basis.
TL;DR | Marketing manager needed (voluntary), send CV + a short cover letter to email@example.com by 1st February.
Please be aware that this is an unpaid role. We are a non-profit foundation, building a community platform on a limited budget, but our vision is to become a commercially sustainable organisation in the long term. None of us get paid for our work right now, but we believe in this project and we hope that this will change in the future.
This role would suit someone with at least one day free per week to spend with us, for a duration of at least three months. Perhaps someone looking to make fantastic local connections or local marketing experience whilst looking for work or taking time out from full-time employment. Or you might be a freelance or part time marketer who is able to contribute a modest amount of time on a regular basis to play a key role in a developing social enterprise. You will have your own projects and take the lead in marketing, while working closely with the Executive Director and other volunteers. We’d also like to recruit a short term marketing intern or additional volunteers to support you with your marketing projects. We have a modest marketing budget to allocate to promotional costs and we would manage this together.
If this marketing role became more permanent we would expect it to lead to a formal Marketing Director role on our board of directors, which would oversee the stichting. But this is already a fairly senior role within the organisation: though you’ll be needed to execute most of the marketing activity, you’ll also be making key decisions on budget and strategy. This is quite a big ask, possibly, so in reality we’d be quite happy to get even a little bit of marketing input, so please enquire if you think you can help.
We have a small radio-podcasting studio in Amsterdam West at Stellar Amsterdam, a super friendly co-working space, where you’ll be able to work at one of the hot-desking spaces.
If you are interested in this role, please send your CV, LinkedIn and a short cover letter to firstname.lastname@example.org. I would be happy to answer any questions. Our loose deadline is 1 February but if we don’t find the right person, we will just keep looking.
