PROFESSIONALISE YOUR PODCAST | SHORT COURSE

This short Saturday morning course will help you bring your podcast to the next level. We will go over everything you can improve to make producing your regular podcast (or radio show) as easy as possible, whether it is live or pre-recorded.

Podcasts can improve on many fronts, including more attention paid to segment duration, speaking and interviewing skills, choice of music, use of technology, as well as maintaining overall quality while building an audience. We will answer questions people may have, give tips on how to work with others, and generally talk about anything people need to professionalise their podcast.

A self-employed translator, copywriter and French music DJ, Natasha is also a world cup level roller derby announcer and has a background as a sound technician. She currently hosts The Happy Hour radio show on Broadcast Amsterdam.

  • Planning: how to plan a podcast in advance to keep your shows consistent and fresh, using a planner, a time sheet and also how to get new ideas fast.
  • Voice: how to talk on the air alone and at least with one other person, and giving each other space to talk. The art of conversation.
  • Interviews: some people don’t talk a lot, other don’t stop. How to work with both types and how to find the right people in the first place.
  • Music: music is more than a break between talking segments, it is also sound, such as jingles, pingles, beds, and so much more. How to learn to use music to enhance your show.
