“Amsterdammers are being called on to make the tattoo signal just before eight o’clock this year and to observe two minutes of silence afterwards. Because this musical and recognizable signal can be heard throughout the city, the following two minutes of silence are marked throughout the city. Professional and amateur musicians on various instruments are invited to participate, with the windows open or on their balcony.
