Show notes

LAST CHANCE TO SEE

  • Downton Abbey is doing well all over. Chris (our BRAM breakfast host) saw it and says: “It was very enjoyable. Whether it was “good” I’ll leave to the professional film critics but for me, while all the usual story lines were included and followed up, it felt a bit dumbed down. Maybe that’s because it has to appeal and be easy to follow for international audiences too … but at times it felt like they were just setting up lines for Maggie Smith (who was as ever brilliant). Don’t get me wrong: it was fun and I’m very glad I saw it but the plot could have been a bit deeper somehow.”
  • Dolor y Gloria (Dir: Alejandro Almodovar) | Listen back to the show to hear why Kiko rates this film, still screening with English subtitles @ Rialto.

I got to work together and make lame jokes with an incredible group of passionate and talented crew members and actors! Moreover we won the award for Best Poster (thanks to Madelief Joore!) and were nominated for four other awards.” Listen back to the show for more about the event.
