Geli and Cathy with a slightly shorter Amsterdam Kitchen radio show this week, with no guest but still plenty of local food stories, including:

• reviews of a new coffee spot in Our Zuid, near the Jumbo supermarket, plus Forno, another neighbourhood pizza joint but this time, Cathy fed a family of three with one big starter and an entrecôte
• in our winkelwagon section, Geli introduced us to papples (stocked in Amsterdam Marqt stores), and something called Birch water
• our local food news ranged from the sad news of no more Pinch dumplings to the future of the Marqt supermarket chain and more.
• markets and more shared a few food events for you coming up in Amsterdam, as always.
