- Cold weather! “Itโs a cold and frosty start to the week across much of the country, with slippery roads and temperatures dropping as low as minus 10 degrees Celsius in some areas, according to Weeronline. Monday morning is particularly chilly inland, where temperatures have dipped below freezing. However, it will remain dry today, with sunny intervals and occasional light clouds. In Amsterdam, temperatures are milder but still hover around freezing, leading to light frost. Drivers should allow extra time this morning to scrape ice from their windshields, a task that may repeat on Tuesday morning. Over the weekend, a code yellow warning was in place for icy conditions across most of the country. By tonight, cloud cover will increase across the Netherlands, and in South Limburg, overnight temperatures could fall as low as minus 10 degrees. Looking ahead, the frost is expected to ease by Tuesday afternoon, with temperatures rising above freezing and clouds moving in from the north. The rest of the week looks milder, with highs ranging between 4 and 8 degrees Celsius and mostly dry conditions. Stay tuned, keep your gloves handy and take care on the roads this morning.”
